Electric Six to release live album in 2012
After years of feedback and requests from our fans, we're excited to announce that this year's album from Electric Six will be a two record live set, to be released in the fall of 2012. One disc will contain the entirety of the band's debut album, "Fire," performed live and the second disc will include live versions of our favorite tracks from all the other albums.
We'll be recording for the live record at two shows, May 11th at First Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota and May 12th at the Double Door in Chicago, Illinois. These are two of our favorite venues in the world and we couldn't be happier than both of them are working with us to make this happen. The band will be playing two sets on each night. The first set will be non-"Fire" material. There will be a 30 minute intermission, and then the band will return to perform "Fire" in its entirety. Prior to E6's sets, we'll be joined by our good friend Andy D.
Again, we're very excited to be doing this and for all our fans in Minneapolis and Chicago (or those with an ability and a desire to get there), you'll have a chance to be immortalized on tape along with us. Our shows in these two cities have always been outstanding and we're expecting nothing less this time around. Please join us. You can find links for these shows on the right side of this page.
Our holiday gift to you...

New 2012 dates announced
If you look to the right hand side of this page, you'll see that we've added a ton of dates in March and April 2012. We'll be playing both the US and Western Canada on this run, so if you reside in any of these fine cities, please make your plans now to join us next year.
Happy Thanksgiving and Thank You!
GLASGOW, Scotland, Nov. 24 -- Hello and Happy Thanksgiving from Electric Six. At this moment, Nickelback is playing at Ford Field and we regret to inform all of you that we did not meet our goal of 1 billion signatures to demand that we be allowed to load in their gear today. That having been said, it has warmed our hearts greatly to know that we had as much support as we did this time around. To those that signed our petition...we thank you very very much. To the members of Nickelback...just know that all the h8ers are 2 filled with h8 and the h8 will destroy them from the inside. U rok. Str8 up. The h8 is no match for love and truth. U do this for all the right reasons. Chad: I had a dream once that U played in the NBA. Dropped 55 on LeBron with 12 dimes. U played so good they called U AirCanada SkyMiles. And when U dunked over D-Wade, they showed a picture of U on the cross like you were JC. Str8 up mad props to you and the boys.
We probably couldn't have moved your gear anyway. Turns out we had this show in Scotland tonight the whole time.
Electric Six and The Onion AV Club team up to spread holiday joy
In early November, en route to Chicago and a fantastic show at the Double Door, Electric Six stopped in at The Onion AV Club studios to record and film their rendition of the holiday classic "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch." We couldn't be happier to be sharing this song with you and to be doing so in association with a first class outfit like The Onion. Enjoy and Happy Holidays from all of us to you.
