Bands We Know and Like:

Ghost City
www.myspace.com/ghostcity
Thought you knew what Tait Nucleus? was all about? Guess again, asslord! Tait is the finest synthesizer player in Detroit and there are times when he needs to step into the center of the stage and show you that ivories are meant to be tickled with the mind, not the fingers. These times call for Ghost City. These times are Palmer times.

The Witches
www.myspace.com/thewitches
From Detroit, Michigan, we did a quick run of the West Coast in July 2003 with these guys. The Witches are the brainchild of longtime E6 / Wildbunch friend Troy Gregory, who pulled double-duty on this tour, stepping in to play bass with us after just one rehearsal; either he's that good, or we're that bad. Probably a little of both. The Witches have an unmistakable sound and stage show and they make everyone HAPPY.

The Blue Van
www.thebluevan.com
We toured with Blue Van on the Swiss Vengeance tour in 2006. They are the second Danish band we've toured America with. The Blue Van, though admittedly Danish, also admit that they transcend nationality and predetermined covalence of the bullshit. They are too busy moving a 500-pound Hammond organ up three flights of stairs to fuck any of you sick fucking bitches so really all that's left after that is the music, and they are very good at making music.

Aberdeen City
www.aberdeenmusic.com
From Boston, Massachussetts via Chicago and Connecticut. But that's only a
fraction of what Aberdeen City is all about. Take four very different looking guys and put them in one band. You know what I mean? How all The Strokes look like they should be in Welcome Back, Kotter? Well, Aberdeen City would be more complex than that... like Barney Miller. It's like you've got Steve Landesburg, Abe Vigoda, Ron Glass and Max Gail onstage. Except everyone is white and unarmed.

But we digress. There is music, bountiful music. The guitarist also plays the floor tom and will one day shatter the record for continuous motion. The bassist can really sing. The other guitar player plays fast and loose with your mind. The drummer... YES!

VHS or Beta
www.vhsorbeta.com
We toured for a month throughout the USA with VHS or Beta in 2005. They are from Kentucky. They do all the requisite Kentucky things like drink bourbon, speak with slight drawls and play tight new wavey dance extravaganzas.

Ladytron
www.ladytron.com
Ruben, Danny, Helen and Mira are set to take over. Their new record will dominate. They've been to China. And not to mention, whenever Tait comes down with lyme disease, Ruben comes through big.

Supersuckers
www.supersuckers.com
Legendary ass-shaking rock outfit from Seattle fronted by a man who has the same last name as a popular pasta dish. This aforementioned man joined us onstage in Vancouver and knows a thing or two about backing up a van and trailer, unlike Sen. John Kerry.

Rock Kills Kid
www.rockkillskid.com
There's a little Rock Kills Kid in all of us.

Every Move a Picture
www.myspace.com/everymoveapicture
Dick Valentine believes EMAP to be the best live band he's seen EVER. These San Francisco maestros of dance rock played a few shows with us in 2006 and it would be a fuckin' honor if they joined us in the future sometime in the future for future dates.

Midnight Juggernauts
www.midnightjuggernauts.com
Midnight Juggernauts make us proud to be Australian. They approach music and entertainment with a "no rules, just right" approach. Humble, sincere, subtle, nuanced and hallucinogenic. Ladies and gentlemen... the Midnight Juggernauts.

Hoggboy
www.myspace.com/hoggboymusic
Though Hoggboy is from present-day Sheffield, they have that 1950's Liverpool look about them. There goes Stuart Sutcliffe... he could have been in Hoggboy! Great bunch of lads with whom we played a few shows in Spain.

Area 51 Touring

www.area51touring.co.uk
Since 2002, Steve Coombes has been the seventh member of Electric Six. Driving, tour managing, handing out money. Nobody does it like Coombesy. We love him, so we are setting him free... free to drive, tour manage and hand out money to other bands. If you need to get around the UK, Area 51 will get you where you need to go.

Web Sudoku
www.websudoku.com
If you can count to nine, then you can lose your mind.

Ben Marble M.D.
www.gofuckyourselfmistercheney.com
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Ben Marble of Gulfport, MS came home to find Vice President Cheney standing in his front yard. Hilarity ensued. Electric Six has an affinity for doctors who rock. We know Blacklips Hoffman would have done the same thing given the opportunity.

Motor City Rocks
www.motorcityrocks.com
A useful guide to all things going on in Detroit music. When we are on the road, we go here to find out what we are missing back home, for there is always something to miss about Detroit.

Electric Six Lyrics
www.electricsixlyrics.co.uk
Somebody in Newcastle has taken the time to research the catalog of Electric Six and provide a compendium of lyrics to our songs. While we are grateful and honoured, we are also very worried about this person.

Electric Six Live Journal
www.livejournal.com/community/rocknrolldemons
This community has been up and running for a couple of years now. Lovers of E6... testify!

Tastes Like Chicken
www.tlchicken.com
Insane Wayne Chinsane is the driving force behind this e-waystation for all things entertainment, political and somewhat human. They are based in Milwaukee. Milwaukee.

The Gold Dollar
www.golddollar.com
This website is mostly what's left of the Gold Dollar, though it appears Neil Yee is always up to something. If Detroit was Manchester, the Gold Dollar would be the Hacienda. Only it's much smaller and I highly doubt they are going to turn that place into condominiums anytime soon. But how funny would that be to have a condo THERE?

The Blue Cat
www.bluecatmusic.co.uk
Dick Valentine did his first solo acoustic show in a real long time at the Blue Cat in Manchester in December, 2004. Quality pub, quality people. Danny has a Miami Vice-esque flat right above it.

Catster
www.catster.com
The feline equivalent of Friendster. Johnny Na$hinal and Dick Valentine both have cats that have put their profiles online here.

The Onion
www.theonion.com
Everybody and their mother links to The Onion. That's because it is a wonderful site. E6 cohorts Kuntz and Maguire are hard at work making a movie based on the Onion.

Informed Comment
www.juancole.com
Back in the dark ages, when Dick Valentine was at university, he had a class with Prof. Juan Cole. Now, some years later, Prof. Cole has become one of the most reputable bloggers on the "situation" in Iraq.

Fox News
www.foxnews.com
With the inclusion of Informed Comment, we don't want anyone to think that this band is entirely comprised of doves and tree-huggers. Frank Lloyd Bonaventure and The Sheik should also have their views represented here.
